It's less sci-fi, and a little more action-oriented than previous entries in the franchise. Still, it stands out with its great themes and heavy use of choir. The main theme, while perhaps leaned on a little too heavily, does a wonderful job of instilling a sense of adventure. Giacchino also pays tribute to Alexander Courage's original theme, managing to create something new, while not ignoring the history behind it.
