Very different from Williams' previous entry in the franchise, it is still a masterful score. It is more dark and primal, and while the sense of adventure is still there, the sense of wonder has almost disappeared. The action music is very exciting, with Williams often utilizing various percussive elements to drive it forward. The ominous cues are also very effective, although the music can become somewhat harsh-sounding at times.
